The Buzzard’s Roost

Our third explore on Sunday, PB noticed it as we were randomly driving. We turned around and discovered an ancient schoolhouse perched high on a hill behind 2 houses.
We pulled in the driveway and I went to the first house, knocked and waited… no one answered. We then climbed the steps to the second house, knocked and waited, after a few minutes we heard “Hold on a minute!” shouted from inside the house. After a few more minutes a little old man came to the door, dressed in a bathrobe.
We asked about the schoolhouse and if we could photograph it.
He agreed, telling us that the schoolhouse was built in 1893 and for us to watch the buzzards because they roost up that “and you never know what they might do.”
Fortunately, they flew away, because I’m pretty sure that a confrontation with a buzzard would kill me dead, right on the spot!
